Lots going on around here, so I apologize for the quick post, but here is this little gem to get you by...

I mean if your going to have a bar cart, you might as well own up to it!

3 years

Today is mine and MLW's 3rd wedding anniversary. And oh, do I love that man.  So here are some of my favorite photos of the day we said "I do!"

Minus Two Doors

Side 1 is done!
-2 doors that need to be hung
-Countertops
-Backsplash

Okay, so side 1 is almost done. And man was it a journey. My new approximate date for the kitchen completion is December. If I can beat that I will be super impressed with myself. I can't belive how many steps where involved to get us where we are on this one side.  So here  kitchen side 1 is in all her freshly painted and hardware glory! {minus two doors}

Ta-Da! Its glorious! We are also loving the new light. MLW was afraid it wouldn't give off enough light, but it really is. Well done Lamps Plus, well done.

"New" shaker style doors above the fridge. They originally didn't have any door pulls so I decided to keep them that way.

I went ahead and pulled off the lip of the green countertops, but didn't manage to spackle before taking these photos. Image fresh white subway tile back there with some dark grey grout.

I also went ahead and styled the cabinets. I'm sure everything will get tweaked over time, but I'm fairly pleased with how they look. Sorry for the crazy glare off the glass, I will try and work on getting a better shot for ya'll.

Our new pretty brass hardware also made it's debut and we couldn't love it anymore!

The cup pulls and lowers. Thank goodness for hardware template guides. Measuring was out of the question, but those little guys made getting everything exactly right super easy. Also more of the shaker style doors. They just add so much more demension and make everything look more modern and more expensive, but for wayyyy less. I think I've spent about $300 so far, and thats on wood, paint and hardware.

My vintage cosco stool. My Gran had/has one in her kitchen with a little seat and it reminds me of sitting there watching her make a delicious dinner. Ah nostalgia! I will probably recover the seat, but thought it brought in a little touch of industrial since I have pops of "industrious" items throughout the house.

The stool will come in super handy since these are some tall upper cabinets! Plus I can see myself perched there while MLW whips up some delicious treat!

The whole view looking towards the door. I just can't explain how happy this makes me look. I'm still slightly stunned that my DIY shaker style cabinets worked. Are they perfect? Nope, but neither where the originals. I think in my next life I want to be a carpenter/contractor/interior designer/general bad a$$. Who says girls can't play with power tools?

And lastly, my badly photoshoped in countertop. It will be white-ish so this gives a good perspective on how everything will brighten up once the green countertops have been replaced. I wish I had mad skills and could add in some subway tile, but alas.

I'm pretty darn excited about how this tuxedo, DIY, marble, and tile is turning out and can not wait for the day I open my front door, look to the left and see this beauty complete.

Love,
Betsy
